With the miracle of online conference video calling, Gore In The Store gathered together director Anthony Cousins, co-writer John Karsko and actors Nate Tymoshuk and Chelsey Grant, who plays the film's troubled heroine Amy, to discuss the stylistic differences and choices between the two films, the group's creative bond, found footage and Lovecraft influences and the future plans for the Frogman saga.

Conscian Morgan makes the leap from award winning shorts to feature length film with his debut feature BINDING EVA, which receives its world premiere in the First Blood strand at Tubi FrightFest. The film tells the tale of Felix (Ryan Ralph Gerrad), a small-time criminal on the run, who finds himself facing not only a supernatural threat in a vast forest but the consequences of his own actions in a surprising fashion. In this interview with Gore In The Store, Conscian details the challenges of filming with a low budget in the Forest of Dean, his influences and desire to tell the story and his excitement at displaying his work through FrightFest.

Tackling the current financial and employment crisis in America, Brea Grant and Ed Dougherty, skewer the issues through a horror-comedy lens with their anthology film GRIND. Over the course of four loosely connected stories such issues as worker exploitation, late stage capitalism, social content and the ever widening wealth divide slide in neatly with an otherworldly, demonic mega corporation, curses and a monstrous sea creature. Gore In The Store sat with writers and directors Brea and Ed to chat about the project's genesis, topical relevance and the film's starry cast including comedian Rob Huebel and horror royalty Barbara Crampton.

Based on the Full Motion Video (FMV) game released by Dark Rift Horror and Wales Interactive, Dead Reset arrives on the big screen from writer and director Stewart Sparke. The film tells the story of Cole Mason (Daniel Thrace), a surgeon who discovers himself in a mysterious facility and is forced to extract a bloodthirsty parasite from a patient. Upon his near immediate death, Cole has to relive the experience again and again, gradually uncovering the dark secrets of the facility, with the help of Fearne, played by Lyndsey Craine. Ahead of the films Tubi FrightFest World Premiere, Gore In the Store sat down with Stewart and Lyndesy to discuss the origins of the film, the challenging but rewarding aspects of practical effects and how FrightFest have encouraged Stewart over the years with his filmmaking.

After the action stylings of the ONE SHOT trilogy, writer and director James Nunn, returns to horror, and FrightFest, with HUNGRY. Telling the tale of a group of unlucky tourists trapped in the Bayou with a large, angry hippopotamus with a taste for flesh. Gore In The Store met with James to discuss creature features, the challenges of filming on the water and his return to the festival itself.

Acclaimed documentary director Justin Hardy continued the legacy of his father Robin with the continuation of a saga that began with the immortal folk horror classic THE WICKER MAN. When he discovered a script, notes and illustrations for a planned third entry in the trilogy, Justin decided to make WRATH OF THE GODS, the tale of a grieving widow, Christiane Schaldemose, and her daughter coming under threat from the community of a small Shetland island, led by Francis Magee and their Norse beliefs. Sadly, just weeks before the world premiere at this year's FrightFest, Justin died suddenly at the age of 61. Gore In The Store interviewed Justin’s longtime collaborators, and producers Alison Palmer and Chris Nunn, about the film’s origins, Justin’s sometimes complicated legacy and the challenges and rewards of realising Justin and Robin’s vision with the help of the Shetland community.
