TUBI FRIGHTFEST HALLOWEEN 2026

Teaming up with main sponsors Tubi once more after their successful partnership this year, the festival, as ever, presents a fresh batch of cutting edge horror from across the globe with a tantalising bunch of premieres that show what rude, diverse and terrifying health the genre finds itself in. As ever Gore In The Store will be on hand to deliver news, reviews and interviews in what looks to be the definitive way to bring the curtain down on Halloween 2026.

FRIGHTFEST REVIEWS
KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR SOME EXTREMELY EXCITING AND ENTERTAINING REVIEWS
BIG BABY
A struggling LA-based scriptwriter’s latest horror creation begins bleeding into reality in this smart, self-aware slasher, as a killer in a baby mask called Big Baby sets out to murder those who tormented him as a child. Packed with surreal moments, campy kills and a likeably flawed Final Guy, this is a playful exploration of horror, creativity and the frustrations of trying to come up with an original idea.
Nina Romain reviews this quirky, blood-soaked and increasingly surreal slasher, which delivers the meta goods but could do with some serious trimming - and perhaps a bloodstained sequel.
ELECTRIC MEAT
An aspiring photographer’s obsession with his perfect muse takes a deeply disturbing turn in this surreal psychosexual horror, receiving its World Premiere at Tubi FrightFest. Perfect for fans of experimental, art house cinema, ELECTRIC MEAT is an unconventional watch that challenges our expectations of what a movie should be. Robyn Fraser reviews this visually striking and unsettling descent into madness.
IMPOSTERS
The tale of a missing child returned home gains a number of troubling dimensions in Caleb Phillips slow burn horror, receiving its English premiere at Tubi FrightFest. Iain MacLeod reviews this impressive and unsettling tale of a family and the dark secrets that could tear them apart.
BLOOD SECRET
Tubi FrightFest 2026 serves up a deliciously dark, claustrophobic thriller where two old friends, a mysterious death and messages from beyond the grave lead to a very bloody girls’ night in.
Nina reviews this kitchen-sink horror that needs to get to the kills, but plays neatly against familiar genre stereotypes.
