THE ALICE PARADOX
When a physicist takes a forbidden journey through a wormhole, she’s forced to question everything she knows about the universe and herself. Robyn Fraser reviews the mesmerising, thoughtful and ambitious sci-fi that explores space, time, free will and human happiness on an intimate scale, receiving its World premiere at Tubi FrightFest
BIG BABY
A struggling LA-based scriptwriter’s latest horror creation begins bleeding into reality in this smart, self-aware slasher, as a killer in a baby mask called Big Baby sets out to murder those who tormented him as a child. Packed with surreal moments, campy kills and a likeably flawed Final Guy, this is a playful exploration of horror, creativity and the frustrations of trying to come up with an original idea.
Nina Romain reviews this quirky, blood-soaked and increasingly surreal slasher, which delivers the meta goods but could do with some serious trimming - and perhaps a bloodstained sequel.
